How blessed am I?
Here's my girl!
Becca bought her and pays her way,
cares for her and exercises her.
Even named her after me -
"Lady Barbara's Sunny Hill Willow"
How is it that its not enough
to think I get all the pleasure
and none of the responsibility?
HOW I would love to be there
for more soft nuzzles
and warm breath on my neck
and see my happy face
reflected from her
huge dark eyes.
I'd be there if I could to
comb her lovely long mane
and brush her warm salty neck.
If only - if only
There's really nothing like
an hour or two with a sweet-tempered horse
to feel all's right with the world.

Awww, that is very kind. You are right--there is nothing better than the smell of a horses mane and hearing their contented sighs. Or in my case, the contented nip of Oscar trying to bite Cooper's tail. Or Willow trying to chase Gabby off her hay. SUch peaceful, tranquil days.
btw, your mare is looking really good. She's got some nice muscle on her now and she gets groomed regularly and her eyes are big and bright. She's a happy girl!
Oh Becca!
If it's only a moment in time, I cant tell you how happy this brief moment in my life has made me. I do love "my" Willow. Of all the horses I ever had she is by FAR the sweetest.
BTW What's Gabby doing on her hay anyway? I'd give her a good chase too!
